Washington Savings Bank Launches Rocket Switch Service to Easily Switch Banks

01/12/2019

Lowell and Dracut, MA – January 2019:  Jim Hogan, President and CEO of Washington Savings Bank announced today that the bank has launched its Rocket Switch service to help customers easily switch banks. Rocket Switch is powered by the ClickSWITCH® online platform.

Rocket Switch is a concierge type service, that will help new customers easily switch their direct deposits and auto payments from their existing bank to their new Washington Savings Bank free checking account.  The customer service rep or “Pilot” will help the customer identify all transactions to be switched, send switch instructions to employers and merchants, and then keep track of switches to make sure they are completed.

“We constantly hear people say they hate their ‘Big Bank’, but they don’t want to switch because of the time and effort to switch their automatic deposits and payments," said Hogan. “With our new Rocket Switch service, switching to WSB will be significantly easier than before.”

Rocket Switch is exclusively offered through Washington Savings Bank and powered by the ClickSWITCH® online platform. It takes the ClickSWITCH® platform, that customers usually operate themselves, and combines it with WSB customer service staff “Pilots” personally taking control of the switches to make sure the process is as fast and easy as possible.

“We’ve always had the best free checking around with our Cash Rewards Checking and Interest Rewards Checking products," said Sean Lydon VP Retail Banking. “Now Rocket Switch will give customers that little extra confidence to finally switch to Washington Savings Bank.”

Washington Savings Bank was established in Lowell on April 6, 1892 and has since served the Merrimack Valley through branches in Lowell and Dracut.
