Position:  Deposit Operations Specialist

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for servicing all aspects of deposit accounts, research and problem resolution; for electronic banking/ATM support; for processing Fedline transactions; adherence to government regulations and for supporting Bank products and services. The candidate will regularly interact with customers, vendors and other bank departments.

Proficiencies:  The successful candidate, at minimum, must be a high school graduate (some college preferred) with 1-3 years’ experience in banking as a teller, CSR/MSR or in bank deposit operations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and organize workflow, have good attention to detail, be computer literate and must be able to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time Monday - Friday

Pay: $18.50 - $20

Position: Accounting Associate

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties as assigned, including the timely, accurate processing and reconciliation of the Bank's accounting records; for preparing, maintaining and processing the accounts payable  system; for maintaining the investment securities system and recording investment activity; for maintaining the fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting systems; for posting to and reconciling assigned general ledger and Federal Reserve accounts and for supporting Bank products and services.

Education:  Must have at least an Associate’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance along with 3 – 5 years of Bank Accounting experience.

Proficiencies:  Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience posting to general ledger or other business accounting software.

Loan Servicing Collection Specialist

Washington Savings Bank is seeking an experienced full-time Loan Servicing Collection Specialist. This position is responsible for the ongoing collections of residential, consumer and commercial loans; coordinating the management of the Bank’s real estate owned properties; working as part of the loan servicing team tracking insurance, administering construction loan disbursements and other servicing related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience loan collections preferred.
  • Computer literate, with specific experience in WORD and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize workflow; must have good attention to detail; must be able to handle multiple jobs.

Salary Range: Starting salary is commensurate with experience.

Mortgage Loan Originator

Washington Savings Bank currently has an opening for an experienced Commission Mortgage Loan Originator based in our Dracut Loan Center.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for originating new loan relationships with individuals and businesses in the Bank’s market. Knowledge of lending products and services is essential. The qualified candidate will have experience and knowledge in various lending functions such as: loan origination and applicable systems, knowledge of the MortgageBot system, strong computer skills specifically in Word and Excel, and a proven track record in selling, cross-selling, and cold calling to promote new business to the Bank.

The successful candidate, at minimum, must be a high school graduate with 3-5 years’ experience as a Loan Originator. The candidate must be detail oriented. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and organize workflow, have a good attention to detail, and must be able to multitask. Excellent customer service skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position.

Pay: Full Commission or base plus commission
