Collection Specialist

Washington Savings Bank is seeking an experienced full-time Collection Specialist. This position is responsible for the ongoing collections of residential, consumer and commercial loans; coordinating the management of the Bank’s real estate owned properties; working as part of the loan servicing team tracking insurance, administering construction loan disbursements and other servicing related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience loan collections preferred.
  • Computer literate, with specific experience in WORD and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize workflow; must have good attention to detail; must be able to handle multiple jobs.

Salary Range: Starting salary is commensurate with experience.

Mortgage Loan Originator

Washington Savings Bank currently has an opening for an experienced Commission Mortgage Loan Originator based in our Dracut Loan Center.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for originating new loan relationships with individuals and businesses in the Bank’s market. Knowledge of lending products and services is essential. The qualified candidate will have experience and knowledge in various lending functions such as: loan origination and applicable systems, knowledge of the MortgageBot system, strong computer skills specifically in Word and Excel, and a proven track record in selling, cross-selling, and cold calling to promote new business to the Bank.

The successful candidate, at minimum, must be a high school graduate with 3-5 years’ experience as a Loan Originator. The candidate must be detail oriented. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize and organize workflow, have a good attention to detail, and must be able to multitask. Excellent customer service skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position.

Pay: Full Commission or base plus commission

Loan Processor

Washington Savings Bank currently has an opening for an experienced Loan Processor based in our Dracut Loan Center.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of residential real estate mortgage loans and consumer loan applications and related documentation; and for supporting Bank products and services.

The skilled candidate’s key responsibilities will include processing applications, compiling documentation for underwiring, communication with borrowers and attorneys to prepare for closings, providing prompt and courteous customer service in all functions, maintaining knowledge of current WSB products and services, and provide assistance with other loan origination or processing functions when necessary to meet customer or department workload needs.

The successful candidate, at minimum, must be a high school graduate with experience in lending within the loan processing or servicing roles. The candidate must be computer literate with specific experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products and loan processing systems. The candidate must be detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize and organize workflow, and be able to multitask. Excellent customer service skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position.
